Insulated dual flaps
Choose a single flap or a dual flap. Two flaps trap a pocket of air between them, which is why the dual flap is the one we recommend for hot and cold climates.
Wind proof magnets
Magnets and a pile brush seal hold the flap shut, so drafts and wind gusts do not push it open.
Flaps made for the weather
MaxSeal PRO flaps are UV treated and weatherized to resist shrinking, cracking, discoloring and warping.
A security panel that locks
Every model has a slide in panel that locks in place when you want the door closed. The MaxSeal PRO panel is layered composite aluminum and HDPE.

A Security Boss door for almost any opening
Security Boss builds a version of its pet door for nearly every part of a house. These are the ones we install most.
Door mount
Fits exterior doors 1 1/4" to 2" thick. We cut the opening, mount the frame and seal it. A standard exterior door installation is $373.79.
Wall mount
A tunnel connects the inside and outside frames through walls 2" to 10" thick, with indoor and outdoor carpet to line it. We frame, flash and seal the opening.
In glass
The glass is replaced with a new tempered unit made with a notch for the pet door, so the door sits in the glass itself.

Which MaxSeal size fits your pet?
Measure your pet's width at the widest point and the height of the shoulders while standing. The flap should be wider than your pet and its top should sit above the shoulders. With more than one pet, size for the largest.

Patio pet door inserts
Lockable inserts for sliding glass doors with single or dual pane glass, in four height ranges from 70" to 99" and step over rises from 2" to 8".
Window inserts
Sash and side sliding window pet doors, including raccoon proof electronic models with single or dual pane glass.
Screen pet doors
The SB4 screen door for porches and lanais comes with a blocking panel, and a separate model fits sliding screen doors.
Kennel doors

What is the difference between MaxSeal and MaxSeal PRO?
Both have the MaxSeal weather seal and the insulating dual flap option. The MaxSeal PRO adds a stronger security panel made of layered composite aluminum and HDPE, UV treated flaps on a hinge that reduces wear, and more sizes for very large dogs.
Which Security Boss door is best for a dog that chews?
The SB72 Chew Proof. Its exterior flap is a hard aluminum swinging panel instead of vinyl, with a weather resistant vinyl flap on the inside and a slide in security panel with a pin lock.
Should I get a single flap or a dual flap?
A dual flap has one flap on each side of the frame with an air gap between them, so it insulates better. We recommend it for exterior doors and walls in hot or cold climates. A single flap is fine for mild climates and for doors into a garage or enclosed porch.
Can a Security Boss pet door be installed in glass?
Yes. A pet door cannot be cut into existing tempered glass, so we replace the glass with a new tempered unit made with a notch for the pet door. Do you offer custom sizes?
Yes. Custom MaxSeal and MaxSeal PRO doors are built to your opening for doors, walls and French doors, which is useful when you are replacing an old pet door and want to reuse the hole. See custom dog door installation.
I rent. Is there an option that does not involve cutting?
Yes. A Security Boss patio insert stands in the track of a sliding glass door on a spring loaded top, with no screws, and lifts out when you move. Installation is $159.97. Window inserts work the same way in a sash or sliding window.
Can I add a Pawport to a MaxSeal?
Yes, and it is the setup we recommend for an automatic door. The MaxSeal goes in the door, wall or glass for its seal and insulation, and the Pawport Smart Pet Door mounts over it on the inside to control who comes in.
How much does a Security Boss pet door cost installed?
Door mount models start at $198.87 for the SB Standard, $252.16 for the MaxSeal and $262.26 for the MaxSeal PRO. Installation is $373.79 for a standard exterior door, $1,197 for a vinyl, wood shake or cement board wall, and $1,397 for brick, stucco or concrete.
